Cecilia Maier

BIO + MORE

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied Architecture in the Universidad de Buenos Aires (FADU). While studying, I worked for various important architects and participated in meaningful seminars in addition to my professional future.

After graduation, I worked as an architectural designer for several architecture firms until I started my own architecture firm, Espacio MADD. Concurrently with my daily practice, I gained experience as an urban designer by working on urban scale projects.

In 2013 I went back to study, attending Pratt Institute in NYC. I finished the Master of Science, Architecture and Urban Design -Graduate School of Architecture- in May 2014.

Soon after, in New York, I was invited to join Vamos Architects as an architectural and interior designer. A year after, I started developing my own projects in New York City co-founding Spear Head Architecture + Design with a friend and colleague.  I also collaborated with diverse urban and public art projects with Studio Jefre, based in Florida and with international scope. In October of 2015 I founded The Urbanizer, a group of community advocates and solutions finders.

I am currently the Lead Designer of ARQUISTA with projects in Florida, Texas, California & New York.

I also serve on the City of Orlando ARB (Appearance Review Board).
